What is Awesomelist?
A free index of awesome lists on GitHub. You can search inside all of them at once, which GitHub does not offer.
Right now the index holds 1,529 lists and 260,395 entries. Last update: Sep 30, 2026.
How it works
A scheduled job reads the README of each awesome list, splits it into single entries, removes duplicates across lists and scores every list. The site is rebuilt from that data every night. There is no database and no server.

Attribution
The lists belong to their authors. We show the name of each entry, its link and a short description, and every list page links to the source repository. We never copy a whole list as if it were ours. If you want to read or improve a list, use the buttons that point to the original repository.
Removal requests
If you maintain a list and want it removed or changed, write to support@awesomelist.link. We act on requests within 48 hours.
Disclosure
Some placements are paid and are always labeled Sponsored. Some outgoing links may become affiliate links. They are marked as affiliate links and never change scores or ranking.
Data for you
Use lists.json, entries.json or theRSS feed. Please credit Awesomelist and the original lists when you reuse them. The code lives onGitHub.
